Feb 20 2002: Hispanics in the US spend over half of their online time on Spanish language websites, reports eMarketer. This is according to the Roslow Hispanic Internet study, which found that online Hispanics spend 55 percent of their time on websites in Spanish.

Feb 27 2002: There will be 28.1 million broadband subscribers in Western Europe by 2008, according to a new report from Frost & Sullivan. At the end of last year, there were 3.8 million broadband subscribers in the region.

Mar 01 2002: There are now over half a million online bank accounts in Poland, including 40,000 corporate accounts, reports Europemedia. According to the Warsaw Business Journal, there were 526,000 online accounts at the end of January. This number is expected to reach 1 million by the end of the year, and 3 million by the end of 2004.

This evolution which is fueled by fewer trade restrictions, better global connectivity and a worldwide adoption of e-commerce technologies is seemingly shrinking our world in terms of geographic boundaries, but it is greatly expanding our world in terms of potential markets for our goods and services.
