EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Renfro has over fourteen years experience as a localization professional. He has worked for Language Management International (LMI), Berlitz, STAR-USA, Welocalize, and Fortune 1000 companies such as Rockwell Automation. He has held numerous positions, ranging from Senior Project Manager to Manager of Tools and Technology. Mr. Renfro has over eighteen years of graphics design experience, including most recently the development and composition of e-books utilizing Adobe’s cutting-edge e-book software.

While at Rockwell Automation, Mr. Renfro directed the company’s multimillion dollar localization budget, managing teams spanning eight countries and handling between seventy and ninety-five ongoing translation and localization projects each month. He spearheaded the introduction of optimized translation workflows and computer-aided translation software, which resulted in significant cost savings and reduced turnaround times by more than 30 percent. Translation productivity on a “pages per day” basis increased 75 percent under Mr. Renfro’s management. Mr. Renfro has completed a course in Structured Project Management for localization industry through ETP, a Ireland based project management training company and based on the book How to Run Successful Projects - the Silver Bullet by Fergus O’Connell.

Mr. Renfro has authored numerous articles on multilingual desktop publishing and design and has taught workshops to clients, staff and professionals during corporate consultation engagements and at numerous localization conferences.

PERSONAL:

Mr. Renfro graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business from Cleveland State University with a dual major in Business Economics and Management and Labor Relations. He and his wife are foster parents for their local community and have three adopted children. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities with the kids, traveling and hunting.
