GPI CMS Partners all make the Gartner 2014 Magic Quadrant

Websites today are driven by an array of web content management systems (WCMS). Global companies author, store, edit, localize and publish content from these platforms. The ability to initiate and manage content authoring and translation workflows and collaboration around the world has improved immensely just in the last few years. Some of these WCMS have recognized the need for global, multilingual enabled authoring and publishing platforms to better serve their worldwide client bases.

The 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management (WCM) report lists the CMS companies with the leading web content management systems in the marketplace today.  The Gartner Magic Quadrant chart is a useful tool to identify the key players in an industry which is sectioned by Niche Players, Visionaries, Challengers, and Leaders. To make the chart at all in such a competitive industry is an achievement. The report lists another 60 or so companies that did not make the chart.

Let’s take a look at this year’s results:

GPI is proud to be official partners with four Web Content Management System companies of which all four are in the 2014 Gartner WCM Magic Quadrant.

Adobe (Adobe Experience Manager) and Sitecore are in the upper right quadrant for leaders. They typically are the standouts in this industry. In the lower right hand quadrant Ektron and EPiServer have been labeled Visonaries which is an excellent label for these organizations.

What we like about each of these CMS’s is their support for and features that make them an effective platform to deliver multilingual content and sites.  In addition, GPI has developed Translation Services Connectors to further enhance their global feature sets as well.

Some features specific to language support and multi-language site management:
