Kentico Cloud

A Cloud CMS is a product built from scratch based on a modern cloud architecture, using a software as a service (Saas) model. Configuring a Cloud CMS is similar to a traditional CMS, except for the configuration of a web server.

Software as a Service (SaaS)

SaaS is defined by TechTarget as: “a software distribution model in which a third-party provider hosts applications and makes them available to customers over the internet. SaaS is one of three main categories of cloud computing, alongside infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS).

Companies are beginning to move more and more systems into the cloud and SaaS is becoming a standard delivery method for B2C and B2B applications. CMS vendors need to adopt the SaaS model in order stay competitive

How Kentico Cloud Works

Kentico Cloud allows you to create content, personalize it for your customers and publish it all from one location. It uses a global Content Delivery Network (CDN) that makes content and digital assets available anywhere in the world.

The REST API works on any platform, with any programming language, allowing users to build websites and applications without limitations.

Kentico Cloud eliminates the need for a database server and the additional effort required to manage performance, server security and upgrades. It manages all technical aspects, allowing the client to focus on their projects. Another big advantage is that it provides backend compatibility for its APIs so the client doesn’t need to change their own code each time there is a new release of an API.
