Apple Watch is Breaking the Language Barrier
Star Trek fans are quick to point out when tech started as science fiction and Apple Watch, in its latest update, has made Star Trek’s communicator with the universal translator reality with WatchOS 11’s real-time translation.
Currently supporting up to 20 different languages, users can engage in real-time communications with speakers of other languages. Gone are the days of fumbling with phrase books and searching your smartphone to find where the train station is located.
If your Apple Watch is running at least WatchOS 11, you can easily set up and use the Translate app. By selecting the desired language combination, adjusting the playback speed, and enabling Auto-Play Translations, you can communicate in your native language, and they will listen in their native language without needing to read the screen. Whether for business or pleasure, entire conversations can be translated in real time.
The world just got a little smaller.
