Technical Translation and Localization of Web Application Case Study
As many of you know I am a huge fan of using Adobe FrameMaker for desktop publishing, so I thought I would share with you one of many neat projects GPI has completed using Adobe products. In the context of a full software localization project, this case study explores the process of producing RoboHelp9 files from FrameMaker 10. The online Help was then published using the RoboHelp files. The project’s results were typical in that we saved the client and ourselves time and money by leveraging Adobe Tech Comm Suite applications, and used them to their full potential. Using the combination of FrameMaker and RoboHelp enabled a much more stable and dependable workflow than using a stand-a-lone product as all changes other than the Help appearance and structure were kept in the primary FrameMaker filesā¦ thereby saving time and money off the project
